L4M6 Study Pack

Pass L4M6 by
knowing which supplier relationship suits which situation

L4M6 explores the full spectrum of supplier relationships, from transactional through to strategic partnerships, and the tools that help you pick and manage the right one. The challenge is matching the model to the scenario, whether that is Kraljic, the relationship spectrum, Cox’s power matrix, or the right performance measure for the right kind of supplier. The L4M6 Study Pack gives you a comprehensive suite of Microsoft PowerPoint slide packs covering every learning outcome in an engaging, industry-relevant way, alongside suggested additional reading, homework and exercises, and quizzes that are marked and returned with feedback from our CIPS-approved tutor.

1

Improve and final prep

Refine, rewrite, rest

  • Days 8–9
Receive and read Katie’s feedback carefully. In L4M3, look particularly for any observations about legal accuracy — imprecise use of terms, misidentification of contract elements, or application of the wrong legal principle to a scenario — as well as structural feedback about analytical quality. Both types of gap require different responses in your revision.
  • Day 10

Rewrite any responses Katie identified as weaker, targeting both the legal accuracy and the analytical structure of each answer. For legal accuracy issues, return to the relevant section of the condensed notes before rewriting — getting the concept right in your head before putting it back on paper is more effective than attempting to rewrite from imprecise foundations.

  • Day 11

Attempt two or three further practice questions under full timed conditions. Apply the improvements from the feedback and use the model answers to assess the quality of your responses before the exam.

  • Days 12–14

Light review of the exam technique tips, particularly the guidance on applying legal concepts to scenarios rather than writing generally, and on time management across a three-hour paper. Rest properly. You’ve done the targeted work — your job now is to arrive at the exam clear-headed and ready to write.

Founder & Lead Tutor

Katie Jarvis-Grove

FCIPS CHARTERED · Creator of the Aspire revision packs

Katie has spent over twenty-five years working in procurement across four sectors, achieving Chartered FCIPS chartered status in 2015. She created the Aspire revision packs after noticing that most CIPS students were either over-revising broad textbooks or under-preparing for the specific demands of the OR exam format.

Her approach is deliberate: concise, targeted, and built around what the exam actually tests. The 95% pass rate across all CIPS levels reflects how well it works.
